It’s part of the Vittoriano in Rome, but here it feels lifted out of time, like a memory paused in sepia. The sky behind is dark and clean, making the sculpture pop with striking contrast. And then there are the birds, caught mid-flight in the upper corner. Their movement breaks the stillness just enough to breathe life into the frame.
What stands out most to me is the posture of the angelic figure—its back straight, one arm outstretched holding a wreath. There’s both strength and calm in that gesture. I remember looking up at it, feeling small but oddly comforted. The bronze tones give the photo a deep warmth, balancing the stark lines with softness. It's one of those images that doesn’t need to shout. It just stays with you quietly. A piece of ancient pride against a darkened sky.
