Autumn morning at the Tweemolentjeskade, Delft

by Donate Molema

This landscape brings to life the tranquillity of an early autumn morning, captured along the Tweemolentjeskade in Delft. The imposing row of pollard willows along the canal seems to go on endlessly, while the light mist covers everything with a dreamy glow. These trees, characteristic of the Dutch landscape, drop their leaves and form a soft carpet on the footpath, inviting a peaceful stroll through nature. The mirror-smooth water reflects the trees, adding an extra layer of depth and symmetry to the image. The subtle colours of autumn are beautifully reflected in the soft light of the morning, where greens, yellows and browns come together harmoniously. This photo captures a moment of silence and introspection, an escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. A perfect piece of Delft nature that not only captures the beauty of the season, but can also add a touch of tranquillity to any interior.
