This year, I waited for a clear night for the Northern Lights to come. The activity over the Netherlands was huge. I visited a pretty dark place, which allowed me to witness this phenomenon. Awesome! What a splash of colours above my head! Using a long shutter speed, I was able to capture the brilliant colours in my photo. To be precise, I was at the Haarzuilens Estate near the Joostenlaan and the Haarpad. The photo shows the Haarpad with the old street lamp that no longer works. Just above the horizon, the moon is also rising. Just before I took this photo, I was already on my bicycle on my way to another location and when I turned around again, the spectacle began. Quickly dismounted and got the tripod ready. Camera on it and taking pictures. All in all, this show lasted quite long.
