A dreamy representation of the rare and protected auricular plant. The plant is found in the Northern and Southern Alps at altitudes between 1600 and 3400 m. At the end of the nineteenth century the cultivation of auricles was a real craze. In England there are still many enthusiasts. They try to collect as many different coloured auricles as possible.
I photographed this auricle on Oostbroek Estate, where there was temporarily a cupboard with many different and colourful auricles. The cupboard with auricles was there 1 summer.
Beautiful geometric shapes can be found in flowers, branches, leaves and trees. Unique designs are waiting for you: 'design by nature'. Nature - small or large - doesn't look the same every day. There is always something new to discover. I enjoy capturing the visual beauty I encounter.
