About ‘Architecture of Enlightenment’ by Walter G. Allgöwer

Nestled amidst the gentle, mist-shrouded hills of Phetchabun, Wat Phra That Sorn Kaew reveals a world where the material touches the spirit. This photograph takes us straight to the radiant heart of the complex: a central shrine that seems to be woven from pure light.
A temple of dreams and glass
The interior of the main pagoda does not look like a structure of stone, but rather like a vision of purity and enlightenment turned to stone. Gently shimmering marble columns reach towards the sky, framing the snow-white chedi that sits enthroned in the centre. It is surrounded by delicate Buddha statues, which remain in deep contemplation and radiate an aura of perfect stillness.
The face of transcendence
Watching over everything – nestled within a golden dome – is the monumental face of Buddha. The gentle features and closed eyes are reflected in the gleaming chequerboard floor, reminding the viewer that the divine can be found both in the heights and in the depths. Every detail, from the golden ornaments to the mosaic-like decorations, speaks of the devotion and poetry of Thai craftsmanship.
This image is more than a record; it is an invitation to pause. It captures that fleeting moment when time seems to stand still and the visitor senses: here, in this temple on the ‘hidden glass mountain’, earth and nirvana meet.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
