This aperiodic Penrose P3 tessellation consists of distorted panes. The thick pane is filled with a hawk, the thin pane with a kingfisher, both in various colors. The image has rotational symmetry thanks to the star-shaped initial configuration called S5 by my former professor N.G. de Bruijn. The calculation of this image requires four iterations with the substitution method.
