Wilhelm von Tegetthoff (born 23 December 1827 in Marburg an der Drau, Lower Styria; † 7 April 1871 in Vienna) was a vice-admiral and commander of the Austrian and Austro-Hungarian navy.
His victory in the Battle of Lissa on 20 July 1866 against the Italian fleet in the Third Italian War of Independence made him the most famous Austrian naval hero. For using ram tactics against the superior Italian fleet, he received the Commander's Cross of the Military Order of Maria Theresa and was promoted to vice-admiral. The fort commander of Lissa, Colonel David Freiherr von Urs de Margina, played an important role in this triumph, skillfully keeping the Italians at bay until the Imperial fleet could come to his aid.
Anton Faistauer (Sankt Martin bei Lofer, 14 February 1887 - Clohars-Carnoët, 13 February 1920) was an Austrian painter. He worked mainly in a post-impressionist style.
