Helena of the Light – Spring by INGO

Helena of the Light is the breathtaking first instalment of an exclusive four-part series celebrating the cycle of the seasons. As the ultimate embodiment of Spring, this work captures the precise moment when nature awakens from its deep winter slumber. The portrait depicts a young woman with fiery red hair, whose very being is literally intertwined with the earth. Delicate, moss-covered tree roots grow gracefully across her neck and cheekbones, as if she were rising directly from the forest floor. Her gaze is both mystical and hopeful, fixed on the first warm rays of sunlight breaking through the misty spring forest. The delicate pink cherry blossoms (sakura) in her flowing locks and the fresh droplets of water on her skin symbolise pure, fluid life force, transformation and a new beginning.
