And so the adventure begins - World Map in Watercolour by WorldMapShop

Watercolour world map featuring the quote:
'And so the adventure begins' in a beautiful, elegant font.

This world map is a hand-painted watercolour in an expressionist style, created using the wet-on-wet technique with highly colourful and contrasting shades.

All the colours in this world map are linked to the climate of the country and continent.
Alaska is cold and is coloured blue. North and Central Africa are dry and are coloured yellow-orange and light green. South Africa is very forested and has therefore been given shades of green.
South America and Asia are tropical and forested with many jungles and have been given green and dark green colours. North America is a mix of green, yellow and orange due to the deserts, mountains and coastline. And Australia is mainly orange with a green coastline.

World maps are ‘story starters’ and always spark fun and interesting conversations about the beautiful places we’ve visited.

The original painting has been photographed in high resolution and graphically edited for colour and contrast so that this world map will really stand out on your wall!
