An autumn morning in the Veluwe – Sunlight in the beech forest

by Fotografiecor .nl

This photograph captures the tranquil magic of autumn in the Veluwe during the golden hour. The composition makes the most of the low, raking light filtering through the canopy, beautifully accentuating the mist and the texture of the damp forest floor. The footpath, generously strewn with copper-coloured beech leaves, forms a natural leading line that draws the viewer deeper into the forest. The contrast between the cool, damp forest and the warm, filtered sunlight creates an atmosphere that is both dreamlike and inviting.

As a photographer in the region, I know that the Veluwe near Garderen takes on a character all of its own in autumn. It requires patience and timing to capture precisely the moment when the sun brings the morning dew in the forest to life. For me, this is the ultimate image of Dutch nature: pure, serene and rich in colour.

This image brings a soothing, natural atmosphere to your interior. It looks particularly stunning in rooms with a rustic or modern décor. For the finish, I recommend a print on matt fine-art paper or on Dibond (aluminium), which really brings out the deep autumnal hues and the sparkling light.
