A figure with a friendly face, googly eyes and a beautifully shaped mouth looks us straight in the eye. The splendour of the hair has something of the wilderness about it and, if you look closer, reveals other figures. In the lower part of the picture, the figure is rather abstract and leaves room for several possible interpretations.
In terms of colour, the picture is painted in black-grey and green.
It was created using a special mixed technique. The so-called stone paper, with which the artist primarily works, was used. In the first step, a folded image was created from simple blobs. In the second step, an imprint of this followed. The next step was to (discover) the motif by omitting and adding individual elements using brushes and gouache colours.
Annette Falk Lund associates this painting with an extremely joyful experience with very different people in the city of Amsterdam, which she visited in 2014. The lasting memory of this cosmopolitan and friendly place fills the artist with joy and gratitude. It was precisely these feelings that guided her when she created this painting.
