About "Amsterdam facades in delft blue"

About the artwork

This painting, done in classic Delft blue tones, depicts an iconic image of Amsterdam canal houses along a quiet canal. The canal houses, with their characteristic gables, narrow windows and graceful rooflines, are carefully rendered in different shades of blue and white, giving the painting a serene and almost dreamlike atmosphere. The gables stand shoulder to shoulder, and their playful variation in height and shape gives the painting dynamism and depth, despite its limited colour palette.

The subtle movement of the water is rendered in coarse brushstrokes, with the blue tones fading into lighter tones to suggest reflections and ripples in the water. Small details, such as cars along the quay, are rendered in the same shades, keeping the whole picture balanced and giving the viewer a sense of harmony.

The choice of Delftware gives the painting a nostalgic, timeless quality, not only reflecting the city of Amsterdam, but also paying homage to the Dutch art tradition. The painting captures the peace and beauty of Amsterdam's canals, while exuding elegance and simplicity.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
