About ‘Amsterdam - abstract watercolour’ by Ton Kuijpers

The watercolours capture the essence of Amsterdam in a unique way, where the distinctive canal houses and graceful bridges blend harmoniously with the city's unique atmosphere. The colours I have chosen, ranging from soft pastels to vibrant shades, seem to reflect the changing moods and atmosphere of Amsterdam, from the calm dawn to the vibrant evenings.
The technique I used with watercolours adds an airiness and transparency to the works, giving the watercolours an almost dreamlike quality. It seems as if each brushstroke tells a story, a story of the reflections in the water, the movement of passers-by and the timeless architecture of the city.
Amsterdam's canals come beautifully to life in these works, with the reflections of the houses and trees creating a play of light and shadow on the calm water surface. After successfully completing this training, I started as an assistant manager / order preparer at the Lakenman & Ochtman printing works in Zierikzee. But soon the province turned out to be too small and I exchanged my job in Zierikzee for a new challenge at the Weasberge printing works in Rotterdam. Again as assistant manager / order…

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
