The length of an adult white-tailed eagle is 70 to 92 cm, its wingspan is 200 to 250 cm and its weight is 3.1 to 7.5 kg. A white-tailed eagle can live up to 20 years old.
Because of its large wingspan, the white-tailed eagle is also called the 'flying door'. Outside its enormous wingspan, its large yellow beak, its deep-fingered wings and its white tail stand out. Young specimens do not have the white tail.
