Only 1,070 of this car called the Alvis TD 21 (1958-1964) were built (series 1+2 incl. convertibles). Of the Series 1, 784 were built, of the Series 2 only 285 cars. How many are still left after more than 60 years can only be guessed and the TD 21 I photographed is now probably a new addition.
The TD 21 belongs to the T-Series 21, which was built in different variants from 1950 to 1967, including the following models: Alvis TA 21, TB 21, TC 21/100, TC 108/G (see link), TD 21, TE 21, TF 21. All TD 21s are equipped with 3.0 litre engines and after a revision in 1959 they had an output of 85 kW and from then on you could drive 169 km/h fast.
