Autumn in the Allgäu unfolds in a colourful spectacle, while the mountains rise majestically and offer a view of the mighty backdrop of the Allgäu's main ridge. From the summit of the Fellhorn, at 2037 metres, the view sweeps over to the sublime peaks of the Trettachspitze (2595 m), the Mädelegabel (2645 m), the Bockkarkopf (2609 m) and the Hochfrottspitze (2649 m). These peaks tower over the landscape like ancient sentinels, cloaked in the first delicate snow that covers the dark rocks with a fine white veil.
The play of the seasons is revealed in all its beauty: the colourful forests glow in gold and rust, the lush green of the alpine meadows slowly recedes and a gentle stillness settles over the valleys, as if nature itself is pausing. The first snow heralds the impending winter, while the last warm rays of sunshine bathe the rugged rock faces in a warm light.
Up here, far away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, time seems to stand still. The fresh mountain air fills the lungs and a feeling of deep connection with nature spreads. It is a moment of peace and inner contemplation, a moment of admiration for the everlasting beauty of the Allgäu Alps as the seasons change.
