Alfa Romeo 159 Sportwagon is "The most beautiful car in the world 2006" and the Alfa Romeo station wagon won the AutoBild Design Award 2006 and also otherwise this model has won quite a few polls. It was designed by Giorgio Giugiaro/Italdesign and produced in Pomigliano d'Arco, a town in the province of Naples/Italy. There was also the Alfa Romeo Brera and Alfa Romeo 159 Spider.
For the name, the type designation Tipo 159 of the racing car from 1951 was revived, with which Juan Manuel Fangio won the Formula 1 World Championship at that time.
I photographed an Alfa Romeo 159 Sportwagon 3.2 JTS V6 24V Q4, which was produced from 2005 to 2010, with its 3.2-liter V6 gasoline engine producing 260 horsepower and a top speed of 240 km/h. The most striking exterior feature of the car is its high performance. Externally, among the most striking are the Magneti Marelli Xenon headlights that are mounted as a complete kit. It was also used as a police vehicle in light blue paint with white side stripes and by the Italian Carabinieri as an emergency vehicle, painted dark blue with red side stripes.
