An imaginative waterfall in northern Iceland, the Aldeyjarfoss lies in the Skjálfandafljót River , the same river responsible for the Goðafoss 40 kilometers away. It may not even be the waterfall that makes this location special. The framing of several furrows of basalt makes this waterfall special. The destructive forces of the volcanic island have not destroyed the landscape, but created a work of art.
