About ‘Al di Laghett Salei’ by Sander van der Werf

A glorious sunrise at the mountain lake Salei, at 1923 metres above sea level.
Here in the sunny canton of Ticino, in Switzerland, the larch trees are already starting to show more colour in the first week of October. This is the sign that autumn is really coming.
Near the lake is the manned mountain hut Calanna Salei. An excellent place to spend the night high above the beautiful Valle de Vergeletto valley. From this valley, you can reach the hut and the lake via the cable car.
We came from the other side, using the village of Spruga at 1112 metres as our starting point. Via a beautiful walk through the woods, you then reach the lake via the southern slope. Highly recommended.

Sander van der Werf (1973) studied illustration at the Minerva Art Academy in Groningen. As an outdoor enthusiast through and through, over the years he has become increasingly involved in (outdoor) photography, in addition to illustrating and creating murals. What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
