About ‘African wildcat at night’ by Lennart Verheuvel
During nightly searches in the Western Sahara, we came across this beautiful African wild cat. The cat was hiding behind a bush, but luckily we saw it! Wildlife Photographer of the Year 2023 (#WPY59). All my pictures were taken in the wild, so nothing from the zoo! I have been photographing since I was twelve years old and the focus has always been on nature photography. In the Netherlands I mainly look at birds, but abroad mammals also have my interest.
