This is a photo of a part of the Hogesluis, bridge 246 in Amsterdam, made from the Amstel. It is a double BASCULE BRIDGE with 10 passages, called Hogesluis. The bridge (number 246) spans the Amstel and connects the western and eastern part of the Sarphatistraat. It is a national monument.
It was a sunny day so there were plenty of boats, dinghies and other recreationists on the water. As always busy but cozy. I think it's a bonus that the tram is on it. There is a lot to see and discover on this photo
