An abstract painting with a portrait of a woman subtly painted into it. The colours pink and orange come strongly to the fore. Anja Namink first put squares of all kinds of colours on the 80 x 120 cm canvas. Over this, she put the contours of a woman's face with a neutral gaze. This gives an exciting surprising whole. To balance the painting, she added further layers using transparent paint. This also creates the cohesive look with the eyes and mouth in the centre. Anja loves to experiment what she can achieve with oil paint. She loves abstract. Combining abstract with a face creates a bright whole that continues to fascinate.
