"Abandoned" is a photograph of a Gerbera "looking" at a leaf that is sailing away. On this petal is a drop of water, and it seems as if the Gerbera is "looking" at the petal lying on a watery reflection. (A kind of anthropomorphism: giving human characteristics to flowers/plants) To my mind, this image has something vulnerable, endearing. A calm light image, which has something minimalist despite the many drops. A shallow depth-of-field was chosen when making this picture. This ensures that only a small part is in focus and the further you get away from this part oe vague the image becomes. Among other things, the sharpness is approximately at the drop on the leaf. This adds depth to the work, but also creates a dreamy atmosphere!
This work could be beautifully hung as wall decoration in the waiting room, bedroom, hallway or simply above the couch in the living room! Also beautiful on the wall in a conference room (business)
