About the artwork
In a dusty room, heavy, rusty machines stand still and tell of a time when people still worked here. The massive machines, covered in dust and dirt, bear witness to their former importance in production or processing. The wooden frame that supports them is aged, and the light that falls through an old window emphasises the worn metal surfaces and highlights the decay. The peeling paint and the soft creaking of the wood reinforce the atmosphere of stillness and transience. This room, abandoned and forgotten, looks like a museum of industrial heritage and is a reminder of the people and time that have passed here.
