This picture was taken in a huge medical complex. Most of the complex has been renovated, is currently being renovated or has been repainted for film shooting.
The best architects designed this complex with luxurious balconies, corridors and platforms. In the beginning there was enough space to accommodate 600 patients (mostly poor and elderly people with pulmonary tuberculosis). It soon became apparent that there was not enough space and the capacity doubled. Patients were segregated by gender in different buildings. Staff buildings were also taken into account. For example, the laundry and the kitchen were located in the female part of the complex and the boiler room was located in the male part.
