About "Abandoned, East German dairy farm"

by Silva Wischeropp

About the artwork

This mysterious, photographic image was taken after a rain shower in the early evening hours in the district of Märkisch-Oderland on 21 May 2021 with the Nikon D800.
The mystical zone, so-called "ghost town", shows a lost, abandoned and old dairy farm from the times of the former GDR, in the Brandenburg region, whose buildings have been closed since 2006.

The abstract realisation in classic black and white lends the motif a timeless, elegant pictorial character. The dark emphasis of the cloud drama and the darkening in the black depths of the image emphasise the mystical, fictitious and spooky mood and atmosphere of the abandoned place.
A perfect location for a thriller, crime thriller and fiction.
Lovers of lost places and gloomy areas will get their money's worth when hanging the picture in their living and working spaces.
