About the artwork

"ARTIFICIAL OASIS" depicts a surreal scene captured in the yellowed hues of an old photograph. In the middle of a vast, parched desert lies a cooling aqua blue pool surrounded by cacti and dry grass. Blurred mountains loom in the background, adding depth to the landscape, while a rusty water tower hints at human intervention.

Despite the arid surroundings, people swim in the pool as if it were the most normal thing in the world. They move through the water, seemingly oblivious to the harsh desert around them.

The artwork contrasts the vibrant life in the pool with the desolate background, creating a striking visual dichotomy.

This work challenges viewers to reflect on the coexistence of natural scarcity and human leisure, highlighting the surreal nature of this artificial oasis in a country parched by climate change.

This artwork was created by combining pieces of original collage with photographs, original vintage forms and tartan paper.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
