The yellow gentian is perhaps the most famous alpine flower. At an altitude of 918 metres, I found this specimen on the summit of Tegelberg.
This was also the immediate inspiration for this work. The Alps, out of focus, in the background adds an extra dimension to this picture.
You can almost smell the Alpine air in this photo. You feel the silence, serenity and tranquillity when you look at this work.
Perhaps not a work to hang large in the living room but a nice eye-catcher for the kitchen.
I hope you can enjoy this work as much as I did when I took the photo, although I must honestly confess that with a bit of a fear of heights because nodding knees I had to take the picture.
I would say, smell the fresh Alps and visually enjoy the grandeur of the Alps.
