The goldfinch, or goldfinch called goldfinch, with the scientific name "Carduelis carduelis". Sometimes you come across them, often singletons or a pair. In this case, there were several trees where they were busy foraging. In two trees I counted 35 of them, unfortunately I couldn't continue counting, they flew away. Well, these small colourful songbirds also have wings... I am always happy when I hear the sound of such a large group of foraging birds.
And the colours, they look like tropical birds. You also see them all over the world, much of Europe, parts of northern Africa, South Africa, even in western Asia, Australia, New Zealand, North AND South America. Maybe that's why it looks like a tropical bird... In any case, I can always enjoy them. 1 of the most colourful birds we can find in the Netherlands.
