A sunny Mediterranean street lined with colourful flowers by Studio Pieternel

● Exclusive design for Werk aan de Muur / Art Heroes

This atmospheric piece transports you to a warm, Mediterranean street in Tuscany where the sun shines brightly. The design features characteristic houses with softly coloured walls, striking blue shutters and doors, and balconies lavishly adorned with flowers. The warm, bright colours and the rich shades of pink and fuchsia from the flowering potted plants give the image a lively and inviting feel.

In the background, a rolling landscape emerges, featuring cypress trees beneath a clear blue sky, which enhances the feeling of a relaxed summer’s day in the south.

The art form is reminiscent of Impressionist painting, where the play of light and the use of colour are central to capturing a specific atmosphere. This piece fits perfectly with various interior design trends, such as a Mediterranean or country-style décor. It brings a touch of that holiday feeling and a fresh, vibrant energy to any room, whether it’s a living room, hall or bedroom. The combination of architectural elements with natural, botanical details creates a balanced and harmonious whole that exudes tranquillity, whilst the bright accents also add a cheerful touch to the interior.
