Tips for use

Claude Joseph Vernet (Avignon, 14 August 1714 - Paris, 3 December 1789) was a French painter who became known as an important marine painter through his numerous harbour scenes. Vernet lived and worked in Rome for 20 years and became particularly popular with his harbours, storms, calm seas and moonlit landscapes.
