About ‘A sea of silence - Lonely Floater’ by Dixy Kracht

From above, the coast looks like a watercolour - shades of blue and green flow into each other, interspersed with dark patterns of seagrass and rocks. In the middle: a small red boat, almost tiny in the overwhelming landscape. The sea is calm, almost breathless, like a mirror keeping secrets.

An almost mystical silence hangs over the scene. The coastline meanders like a brush stroke, the water is clear and slow. Here you feel the grandeur of nature precisely because nothing is happening. No bustle, no rush, just colour, shape and space.

You would almost forget: that sometimes the world can be so simply beautiful.
