A piece of Nevada's desert landscape.
During a stopover on the way from Fallon to Beatty, this photo was taken. After spending the night in Beatty, we drove on to Las Vegas the next day. Many miles through an inhospitable and impressive desert landscape, there seemed to be no end to it.
Nevada is one of the states of the United States. The standard abbreviation for the "Silver State", as its nickname goes, is NV. Its capital city is Carson City. Nevada is the driest state in the United States and consists mainly of (semi-)deserts such as the Great Basin Desert and the Mojave Desert. Large parts of the state are practically uninhabited.
