You see here a tree frog that has caught a fly. Most often you see these little frogs (often no bigger than a blackberry) resting on blackberry branches or leaves. This particular day, I had seen and been able to photograph many of them that way. At one point I saw one hanging from a bramble branch, when I walked towards it I saw why. It had caught a fly and had lost its balance as a result. What a unique moment say! Eventually he had pulled himself up again and quietly sat on a bramble to eat the fly. What I find special about this photo is that it looks like the fly is just looking back on life 1 more time. It's harsh, but tree frogs need to eat too.
