A kitesurf in the surf
A kiter with his board over the foam heads of the waves. The surf hits the beach. On the horizon a second kiter with a kite. On a stormy day at Wijk aan Zee beach, there was a lot of action to be seen. The surf the foam heads the drops of seawater surrounding the kiters and the photographer.
With my work as a street photographer, I show the rough, unpolished sides of city life. With my photographs, I try to capture the beauty of everyday moments. The viewer can then invent his or her own story to go with it. I also have a fondness for industrial environments, such as harbour sites and factory buildings, where traces of the industrial past are still present. In doing so, I try to photograph subtle details, using both digital and analogue cameras.

I photograph mainly with an analogue Yashica 635 and a Ricoh AF 5.
