Quite an experience to be at the North Cape (Norwegian: Nordkapp) on the Barents Sea is traditionally considered the northernmost tip of the European continent. The North Cape is actually on the island of Magerøya, which can be reached by a tunnel from the mainland. It is located at 71° 10' 21" N, in the municipality of Nordkapp near Hammerfest, in the province of Finnmark in Norway. The cape is 2080 km from the North Pole. If you want to go here, because of rapidly changing weather, you can only do so in convoy. In short, it's just not safe enough to go here alone.
