In the tranquil countryside near Thakhek, an old stupa emerges, rooted in the earth as it is in history. It is neither majestic nor restored, but its presence inspires respect. Its worn, moss-covered stones evoke centuries of prayers, wind, sun and rain. This place seems untouched by modern times, protected by the slow rhythm of the surrounding nature. It exudes a calm, almost magical force. It embodies the continuity of an ancient faith, in perfect harmony with the simplicity and beauty of the rural Lao world.
