Lake Grevelingen in Zeeland (NL) is at its best during the golden hour. It did peak for a while when the alarm clock went off as early as 6am. Instead of snoozing some more, I quickly went into the bathroom and then grabbed my photographic gear. When I came out of the door, I could already hear the birds singing. The signal to make a move and reach the beach in time. A few degrees above zero combined with an icy wind soon turned my hands into nuggets of ice. Fortunately, the sun rose quickly and I was able to capture the spectacle on photo. Cool blue soon turned into heart-warming colours. A magical moment I didn't want to miss for any money in the world!
