This small woodland stream hardly ever has water in it these days and so I needed to plan this picture for early Spring preferably after a lot of rainfall. Fortunately when I got there, the stream had water in it and the foliage of these large beech trees was a bright almost neon green. The tall beeches are mostly uprooted, which adds character, but makes them fragile at the same time. A lot of these trees have succumbed to the conditions in the past few years and I am glad that I was able to make this photograph with these trees still standing. The stream reflected the green of the trees which helped tremendously in making the curve into the distance visible
