This is the Giant headquarters in Taichung, Taiwan — the iconic home of Giant Bicycles. Reaching this building was a journey in itself: two buses, a long walk, and a foggy morning that wrapped the city in a hushed stillness. We arrived far too early, with visibility barely stretching beyond a few meters. But patience paid off. As the fog slowly lifted, the building revealed itself in stages — sweeping curves rising gently from the ground (not unlike some of the climbs on the Tour de France), guiding the eye upward toward the central tower.
The architecture feels like motion captured in concrete — perhaps a nod to the brand’s cycling heritage. The ramping forms echo the rhythm of a climb, while the interplay of light and shadow across the façade adds a dynamic energy to the stillness of the morning. It’s a structure that doesn’t just house a company — it embodies its spirit - a winning one.
