A Boeing EA-18G Growler taxies out toward the head of the runway at NAS Fallon.
The Boeing EA-18G Growler is a further developed two-seat version of the modern naval attack fighter F/A-18F Super Hornet. The Growler was phased in to the US Navy beginning in 2007 under simultaneous disposal of its predecessor.
The Boeing EA-18G is intended for electronic warfare and was developed to replace the aging Grumman EA-6 Prowler. This aircraft was introduced in 1971 and has reached the end of its operational life after years of deployment.
