The sea turns 50 shades of blue on the coast of Italy. From light blue to turquoise and azure to dark blue.
It is the end of spring. Summer is coming. The water is still cold. Too cold to go swimming. The beach is still quiet. There is no one there today, even though it is almost 30 degrees. The sea is also quite calm as is the weather. It is lovely to walk along the shore and along the pebble beach. Enjoying the peace and quiet, the view and the sound of the sea.
The view of the Ionian Sea is beautiful. The water is clear, it is slightly cloudy and on the horizon you can see the rugged landscape of the Basilicata region.
The photo was taken on the beach near the town of Rossano. Rossano is located in the Calabria region. In the south of Italy about 2,000 kilometres from the Netherlands.
Diana and Ronnie like to travel to areas where few tourists come.
