With 5,71 m no problem, not only the biggest V-8 engine, which Cadillac produced at that time, fitted in, but also a 429 cu in (7.0 L) OHV V8 or 472 cu in (7.7 L) OHV V8 engine was placed. The whole thing was completed with a 3-speed TH-400 Automatic. And that they had to look different almost every year was a foregone conclusion.
