About the artwork

This artwork may look like an abstract painting, but it is actually a photograph!

A concrete wall with old, peeling yellow paint. You can still see the remnants of figure that stood here. Is it January 17th? Was it a date from 2017? Maybe it were just some numbers. This impermanence gives it a cool and grungy look. An image you might come across in a workshop or garage, or conversely in a cool boy's room. Combined with sleek metal elements, this sculpture also comes into its own.

This image is a detail of a weathered piece of wall, photographed in Asia. Due to weathering, many walls are subject to moisture, erosion and overgrowth of organisms. At first, you think these walls need a fresh lick of paint. But when you look closer, you see what kind of beauty is actually hidden in this impermanence. Colours fade, blend or flake off, and mosses begin to take on a life of their own, reviving colourfully after a heavy rain.

As one local put it very nicely; "These walls are alive, and painted by nature". Wonderful!

This picture is suitable for anyone looking for a special abstract artwork with a story. At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
