Taken with a 300 mm lens at dusk. The young bird sat down on the branch to sleep and stayed there until the picture was taken and I went for a walk.
I kept the colour in the background of the scene subdued, but intensified the colour of the plumage. The aim was to give the little blue tit the best possible appearance.
The photo (4:3 format) is in my hallway on the chest of drawers, framed between two thick acrylic glass panels, which are held together with magnets, in the size 18 x 24 cm.
According to my trusted photo print supplier, the recommended maximum size is 150 x 100 cm.
Just as the young bird is still at the very beginning of its life, I am also at the very beginning with the publication of this photograph.
In my main job, I deal with accounting and taxes, and in my free time I live out my creative streak. I got into photography in 2020, when the world started to turn more slowly. I acquired my knowledge over time through books and the internet.
