The digital artwork depicts the iconic "Winkel van Sinkel" in Utrecht, captured in an enchanting nocturnal atmosphere. The monumental building takes centre stage and is bathed in the soft glow of an artistic projection: in bright purple light, the text "I love Utrecht... and Utrecht loves me back" appears on the façade. Next to the words, stylised outlines of the Dom Tower and Dom Church are projected, minimalist but instantly recognisable, creating a sense of pride and connection to the city. The projection emphasises the ornate architecture of the historic building and adds a contemporary, almost poetic layer to the familiar cityscape.
In front of the building is a large tree, some of whose lights glow softly, subtly referring to the Christmas season without emphasising festivity. These small points of light bring a touch of warmth to the otherwise cool palette of purple and black. The sky above is deep and almost completely black, in which a faint, barely visible moon can be discerned on close observation - a detail that enhances the nocturnal character while adding a mysterious element.
The artwork plays with contrasts: between old and new, light and dark, silence and message. The atmosphere is hushed but inviting, as if the city itself is whispering. The minimalist lighting and the focus on the projection give the work an intimate, almost dreamlike quality, in which Utrecht lovingly reflects itself in the night.
