About the artwork

The digital artwork "Eastern Railway" is an intriguing still life that shows an interplay of industrial symbolism and subtle simplicity. At the centre of the image is a large, metal right of way sign topped by a stylised locomotive, from which a graceful cloud of steam billows upwards. This steam flows naturally into a small, solitary cloud that hangs just above the horizon, as if the smoke and sky seamlessly merge.
Directly below the right of way sign is a rectangular, steel sign with an inscription that provides information about the Eastern Railway. The plain, functional letters emphasise the utilitarian nature of the railway and contrast with the more decorative look of the right of way sign above it.
In the background, the simple outlines of a few houses are visible. The roofs are uncovered - no tiles, but bare surfaces that create an almost abstract impression due to their material and shape. These roofs are completely in shadow, giving them a darker, subdued tone and subtly fading into the background. This accentuates the brightness of the sky and the shine of the metal signs.
The sky shines in a deep blue hue, with just that one small cloud, right in line with the locomotive smoke. "Eastern Railway" captures an atmosphere of memory, movement and quiet power with sparse means.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
