About WatercolorWall | Handmade paintings
Welcome to WatercolorWall, Ricardo Bouman’s artistic online shop. Ricardo is a graphic designer and painter with a passion for old towns, architecture and landscapes.
His paintings often have a connection to nature, an emotion, a cityscape or a location he has visited himself. He paints based on his own (travel) experiences and his motto: “To be able to create atmosphere, I must first have experienced it myself”.
Realism, Line and Wash, and Illustrative. These are his favourite painting styles for depicting cities and landscapes.
He also creates Expressionist, Dynamic, Minimalist and Modern Abstract art, in which movement and emotions often take centre stage.
Curious to find out how Ricardo creates his paintings?
Then click on the ‘YouTube icon beneath his profile picture’ to watch his videos.
He digitises his paintings by photographing them in high resolution. In this webshop his paintings are available in your choice of sizes and materials.
AI (artificial intelligence).
A conscious decision has been made not to use AI in his artworks and to remain true to the manual use of brushes, watercolor paint and paper. Ricardo creates paintings in his own illustrative style, using the techniques he has learnt and further developed over the years.
WatercolorWall therefore produces 100% handmade paintings.
