About Ruud Verhoosel
As a child from a family of photographers, I grew up surrounded by cameras and learnt from an early age to see the world through different eyes. What began as something I took for granted developed into a deep personal passion: capturing the world in timeless black and white. My work lies at the intersection of street photography and architecture. I am drawn to the graphic lines of modern buildings, but just as much to the weathered details of historic alleyways and spontaneous human moments. By omitting colour, I strip reality down to its pure essence. What remains is a powerful interplay of light, deep shadows, textures and, above all, atmosphere.In my work, I always strive for perfection. I’m not satisfied with a quick snap; instead, I consciously seek out that one, unique vantage point and the perfectly balanced composition. Every image I create is a meticulous quest for tranquillity and geometry. With my artworks on your wall, you’re not just bringing a photograph into your home, but an atmospheric, timeless image that continues to fascinate and brings a sense of calm to the space.
