My name is Patrick Haleyt, a nature and black-and-white street photographer driven by a deep fascination with the raw beauty of the natural world. My work focuses on capturing the quiet intensity of nature and landscapes - moments where light, form and emotion merge into timeless simplicity. My path to photography began with a love of nature and observation rather than formal training. Over time, I honed my eye through countless hours outdoors and guidance from mentors who taught me to see beyond the obvious - to notice behaviour, rhythm and stillness. Wildlife became both my classroom and my inspiration. I work mainly with Sony Alpha mirrorless digital cameras and telephoto lenses that allow me to maintain distance and respect nature. Natural light is my medium of choice; I rarely interfere, preferring to let the scene unfold authentically. Post-treatment is minimal - focusing on tonal depth and the expressive power of colour and monochrome.
Recurring themes in my work include loneliness, resilience and connection. Whether it is the silence of a forest or the gaze of an animal, I look for the poetry that lurks in wild moments. My aim is to invite the viewer to slow down - to feel rather than just see.
